About Scrotox

During your Scrotox treatment, Botox will be injected into your scrotum using a very fine needle. The main reasons why men choose to get scrotox may include reducing wrinkles and sweating, and improving sexual pleasure.

Depending on your unique needs, your Scrotox treatment may require multiple injections in different places. As a result swelling and bruising may emerge as a result of the injections. Nevertheless, one of our cosmetic doctors will be administering the treatment to determine the best places for the injections.

Scrotox was originally used purely as a medical procedure designed to relieve pain in the scrotum that resulted from inflammation. Research has shown that it may be effective in reducing chronic (long-term) pain that doesn’t go away with treatment on the spermatic cord or on swollen scrotum veins (varicocele).

However, there are a number of new claimed benefits that the treatment offers which include the following:

• Reducing the wrinkles on your scrotum.
• Reducing the amount of sweat your scrotum produces.
• Your scrotum may look bigger or more ‘filled out’.
• Your testicles may hang more ‘loosely’ or lower.
• Sex may be more pleasurable.

It is important to note that results vary from patient to patient and hence some or all of the benefits may apply to you.

Scrotox After Care

Scrotox is an outpatient procedure which means that you can often go home a few minutes after the treatment is administered. Do not massage or rub your scrotum for the first 3 days after you receive your Botox Injections. It is also recommended to avoid vigorous exercise and tanning the treated area for at least 2 days after the treatment. You should refrain from lifting heavy objects and having sex for at least the first few hours after the procedure, however, you should be able to resume regular activities by the end of the day. Results are generally noticeable within a few days but may take up to three weeks to be fully noticeable.

Potential Side Effects of Scrotox

Some of the potential Side effects of Scrotox may include:

• swelling.
• numbness.
• mild to moderate scrotum pain.
• bruising around the injection site.
• a feeling of tightness in the scrotum.
• a lower sperm count, however, the 2014 finding – Adverse testicular effects of Botox in mature rats – has only been demonstrated in lab rats.
